The Scrap Weeks.2 Bucket Hat

My parents throw the best backyard bbq's in town!  With the perfect setup; a dance floor, a horseshoe pit, a fire pit, a volleyball net, a swing by the creek, the cutest little shack for a place to take cover and grub, good tunes, and great company, it's one heck of a party.

Today for Scrap Weeks, since we will be outside all afternoon soaking up the fresh air, I made my little man a reversible bucket hat to shield the sun from his head (I actually expected it to be sunny today, and go figure, it's overcast).  This bucket hat is really easy to make and if you're intimidated by projects like this, think - if you can sew a curved line, you can make this hat.  The best part is, it doesn't take much fabric, so dig into those scraps.

I found the pattern and directions for this hat at Oliver + S; a great little blog to find children's clothing ideas and tips.  This is a great functional hat, with major cuteness, so have fun with it!

Sawyer would rather eat his hat than wear it, so pictures were quite difficult!
