Date Night Jar

This is something I've been wanting to do for a while.  After seeing fun date night ideas floating around Pinterest, I decided I really like the draw a stick idea.  I know I need to be focusing on more important projects, but I feel that this is pretty important too...it's sad to say, but my husband and I have been on maybe 3 dates since Sawyer was born.  So here's my attempt to rekindle the romance!

There are so many great things around Portland that we haven't done yet and I thought this would be the perfect way to actually get out of the house and do them.  I painted the tops of the popsicle sticks different colors to represent the different types of dates...

The blue sticks are the most expensive and require a little bit of planning.
  • Bed & Breakfast
  • Sporting Event
  • Rent a Hotel Room for a Night
  • Furniture Shopping at Ikea
  • Tillamook Cheese Factory
  • Spirit Mountain Casino & Concert
  • Hood River Dinner Train
  • Theater
The brown sticks are a little less expensive and a little more spontaneous.
  • Laser Tag & Go Carts
  • Happy Hour & Cocktails
  • Drive-in Movie & Junk Food
  • Take the Truck and Go Get Stuck
  • Go to a Movie
  • Dessert Only
  • Roller Skating
  • Museum
  • Bowling & Beer
The white sticks will barely cost anything, most of them at-home dates.
  • Powell's Books & Coffee
  • 1,000 Piece Puzzle & Take Out
  • Picnic in the Park
  • Popcorn, Candles & Romantic Movie
  • Homemade Pizzas & Italian Movie
  • Japanese Gardens & Ice Cream
  • Chopped Challenge
  • Crossword Puzzles & Breakfast for Dinner
  • Game Night & Pizza

I'm pretty excited about this!!  ...now who wants to babysit?
